In case you wanted to know what it’s like having a teenager… Yesterday: “What are you wearing for mufti tomorrow? Do you need anything specific washed?” “It’s fine, I’m just going to wing it” This morning: “Where is my very specific item of clothing and why isn’t it washed?”

For every $ invested in capital works for private schools, public schools get between 27 and 50cents. FFS! How long must our kids put up with this blatant inequality? theguardian.com/education/2023…

A note for parents who love their work: Don't put making memories on hold. I know it's hard. You like working, so it's easy to keep going. An extra hour here, an extra hour there. Maybe you have an evening project or two. Then the weekends sneak in. You might be doing it

The expression “call a spade a spade” comes from the work of Plutarch, who originally wrote “call a fig a fig & a trough a trough.” Figs & troughs were crude slang for the Vulva, so what Plutarch meant was “call a c*nt a c*nt”. When Erasmus (1466-1536) translated Plutarch’s work

Just hypothetically, if you happen to have Coulrophobia and a certain live action anime is insistent on showing you a clown every time you want to Netflix & Chill. There are settings on the web browser where you can block individual titles without adding any other restrictions!

Forgot the word “toxic” whilst discussing flowers with an old lady at Aldi this afternoon so when she suggested the lilys I instead explained “they’re lovely, but my cat doesn’t like it when I buy yellow flowers” 👍🏻

In light of VICE dying, I myself just discovered that NowThis News quietly wiped out every video we ever made at Discovery (they merged in 2017). Well over 1,000 really well produced explainers with like a combined total of 1 billion views just *gone*. Honestly insane.
