If we all have the inherent desire to distance our children from danger, then why are so many of us still allowing our kids on devices that are clearly connected to undisclosed and undisputed Digital Dangers? Is it a case of ignorance is bliss?

3 of our basic life needs are security, significance and self worth. Our culture, the hyper sexualised content online and the content children are exposed to on apps like Tiktok - violates all 3 those needs. Why do we keep accepting this?

People ask what was the turning point in my life... and I always recall how I lost my temper (again) and threw books down the stairs in rage, to turn around and find 2 sets of big, very afraid eyes 👀 staring back at me. That was the day monster mom died. 😭

Just because we haven’t seen any more “Cuties” films lately doesn’t mean exploitation isn’t CONSTANTLY happening to our kids! It’s not just 1 film. It’s music, films, tv shows, magazines and clothing. Everywhere they look. Sexy sells. And we’re buying it.

Ships don’t sink because of the water around them; ships sink because of the water that gets in them. Our teens and tweens are sinking and we need to help them! Don’t let what’s happening around them get inside them and weigh them down. ❤️

There comes a time when the only way out is to take a deep breath and meet that giant face to face. Do it scared. That bill. That meeting. That conversation. If I’ve learnt one thing in taking back my life it’s this: the best way, is through.

You’ll continue to suffer immensely if you have an emotional reaction to everything said to you. Ask yourself: WHY is this triggering my emotions? If words can manipulate your responses, it gives opportunity for others to hurt you. Pause. Dig in. Heal.

This game called life, is won by the players. I want to be a player. I want my kids to look at me and say: my mom owns it ALL. She runs towards the pain and she beats the *$@p out of it. #inittowinit
