Spotted! The Origami bird (aka Avis Papyrus) has landed Westcot School. This generation of birds are adapting to their new environment with only those able to travel the furthest, surviving and reproducing. An exercise in understanding the role of natural selection in evolution.

What an eventful day in our grade 7 community today Westcot School. We welcomed our families back for in-person student led conferences this morning and then capped off the day with an engaging presentation from Sahplek, learning lessons about the Canoe 😅😃 WestVanSchools

Today was Westcot School’s turn to experience and learn about Indigenous canoe culture with Ridge Wilderness and WestVanSchools. When we are in a canoe we are family, and when we’re a family, we’re stronger ❤️ What a beautiful learning opportunity with Bob Sahplek.
