Hurricane Katrina on August 27th 2005. It was stationary in the Gulf for several hours as a Cat 5 Storm 170 mph before moving north towards Plaquemines Parish, LA as a strong Cat 3 125 mph as a direct hit. Then to a 2nd landfall to the mouth of Pearl River into MS as a Cat 3.

That massive giant eye wall is why the levees failed in New Orleans. Storm surge is the #1 killer from hurricanes.
