We are monitoring a very high risk conjunction between two large defunct objects in LEO. Multiple data points show miss distance <25m and Pc between 1% and 20%. Combined mass of both objects is ~2,800kg. Object 1: 19826 Object 2: 36123 TCA: Oct 16 00:56UTC Event altitude: 991km

This is not a repeat of February in China. Okay it is. But in France.

It's the sounding everyone has been waiting for! We recorded the lowest 850mb temperature observed at GYX tonight of -35.5C. While we can't definitively say whether or not Mt Washington was in the stratosphere, the tropopause started just below the summit. #NHwx #MEwx #

At 8 pm the temperature on the summit of Mount Washington NH was down to -46 F. The coldest temperature ever recorded at this station (-47 on January 29, 1934). Records at Mount Washington Observatory (MWOBS) go back to 1933. The 96 mph winds (gusts to 127 mph) are producing a wind chill of -108 F.
