It's truly the end times for UK philosophy if top departments like Kent (ranked 5th on GPA in the most recent REF) are being shut down. University of Kent should value its reputation for excellence in this area, it seems to me.

After Frans de Waal and Daniel Kahneman, another huge loss for the philosophical psychology community worldwide. Daniel Dennett has been one of the most influential philosophers of his time and his legacy is destined to continue far into the future.

Last Friday, Prof. Wolfgang Spohn (Konstanz) received an honorary doctorate from LMU Munich for his outstanding contributions to various areas of philosophy. He was also instrumental in setting up the MCMP and has always helped us when we needed him. Thank you, Wolfgang!
