A number of designated MTV music channels across the UK and European territories aired their last playlists this morning as they sign off the air, with MTV Music's last video being "Video Killed The Radio Star" by The Buggles, a reference to the video that launched MTV.

MTV officially shut down its 24-hour music channels yesterday. They ended their final broadcast with 'Video killed the radio star' by The Buggles, the very first video broadcasted by MTV on August 1st, 1981.
