Today’s project was installing a filter system for the spraying water. We use irrigation water out of the local lake. After rain events water becomes muddy, lots of silt. The new filter should help with clean spray water and increase the effectiveness of the pesticides.

The last two months we have been lacking rain. June was bad with the heat and wind. Luckily the Toro Golf irrigation system was able to keep up. The last 30 days the pumps kicked out almost 7 million gallons of water, luckily we are on a lake with unlimited supply of water.

The year of no N continues, greens seem to be thriving this year without excess growth from fertilizer. One more week of hot summer weather and we move into September. Puffyness of greens is better than previous seasons. CIGCSA

Guess it’s time to give the fairways its first shot of nitrogen for the season, even tho they look strong and healthy without any nitrogen. Time get them prepared for winter.
