The Environmental Club recently learned about plastic pollution and its effect on our world. Today we made reusable beeswax wraps to use in place of plastic wrap, zip bags and other single-use plastic. Smith Middle School #enhancingthestudentexperience
The EC club is ready for Spring! We started our seeds for this year’s garden and delivered them to teachers to foster until we’re ready to plant them outside. Soon we’ll have vegetables that we can enjoy & that can be used in the cooking classes! Smith Middle School Matthew J. Murphy
Good work Smith students! We’re going to have a great garden this year! Smith Middle School

Brand new native pollinators were added to the Smith Middle School sign area today! Once these babies grow in, there will be beautiful color and soft grasses to look at. As a reminder, please do not sit on the wooden ledge and hurt our growing plants!
The Smith Middle School Environmental Club planted lots of beautiful native pollinators in the school courtyard today. Native plants require less water & fertilizer than grass & will attract bees & butterflies to the veggies that we already planted! #enhancingthestudentexperience
Introducing…Smith Middle School’s first delivery to Chef O! Planted, cared for and harvested right in our very own courtyard! #enhancingthestudentexperience
Great news! Smith Middle School Environmental Club has been awarded a grant from the BCUA Environmental Awareness Challenge! With the grant we will install recycled raised garden beds in the courtyard to grow food that can be used in the foods classes! #enhancingthestudentexperience
The Smith School Environmental Club is in harvest mode! We will be decorating the front of the school soon! Smith Middle School Matthew J. Murphy #enhancingthestudentexperience
The Smith Middle School EC club had spring vibes making seed bombs. We used clay, potting soil & a variety of seeds to attract butterflies & other pollinators. When dry we’ll have fun throwing them around the school property & watching them grow. #enhancingthestudentexperience
The Smith Middle School EC beautified the new courtyard today. We planted some flowers and potato vines to look good now and morning glories to climb the trellises and give color when we return in the fall! #enhancingthestudentexperience
