Throughout March, the Smith Library hosted our 3rd March Book Madness Tournament! The 16 most frequently checked out books were pitted against one another for students to vote to determine the 2023 Best Book of Smith School! This years winner by 3 votes was THE HUNGER GAMES!📖📚

Our 2023 author visit was New York Times bestseller, Jennifer Nielsen! She presented to all 3 grade levels about her process as a writer, the importance of thoroughly researching before writing, and the value of curiosity📖📚

Book club students were also given the opportunity to meet as a group with our author to further discuss the writing process, have books signed, discuss her novels, and understand the value of believing in yourself and your dreams! Thank you very much, Jennifer Nielsen!
