Engine 604 and BC2 have been deployed to the Gifford Fire as part of Strike Team 1520F. Engine 305 continues to work hard there as well. We are always happy to assist our partner agencies. All Santa Maria fire stations remian fully staffed.

Engine 305 has returned from the Dillon Fire after 14 days. Engine 604 has been deployed to the Garnet Fire in Fresno County as part of Task Force 1217. Be safe out there!

Today we remember those who lost their lives in the terror attacks of 9/11. Thousands died, and millions were affected. May we never forget their courage and sacrifice.

Engines 1, 3, 2, 5, 6, 4, Truck 1, BC2, BC 1, SBC BC21, SMPD and AMR responded to a structure fire on the 200 block N Western. One apartment fully involved and damage to the adjacent unit. Two civilians were evaluated and released. No FF injuries. Cause under investigation.

Engines 6, 1, Truck 1, USAR 2, BC2, Guadalupe E81, SBC ME21, SBC BC17, AMR and CHP responded to a train vs fuel hauler at Hwy 1 and Brown. Four people transported to MMC, one with life threatening injuries. Hwy 1 is closed between Hwy 166 and Brown Rd. Please avoid the area.

Engines 2, 1, 4, 6, Truck 1, BC2, SMPD and AMR responded to a reported structure fire on the 1600 block of S Broadway. Crews found a small fire in the kitchen and prevented extension. Prevention 5 enroute to investigate. No injuries.
