We’re looking for a programmer to join the PS5 rendering API team in ATG. This isn't a maintenance role, you'll develop new technologies and closely work with game teams. RTs (and applications!) are very welcome. My DMs are open if you have any questions. grnh.se/d68c6e622us

Looking into topology preservation in marching cubes. A single trilinear cube can generate a surprisingly complex surface!

Continuing down the rabbit hole of marching cubes, attempting to generate all possible topology between the corners of the cubes. After some effort, finally got 33 of them (like Chernyaev did in 1996).

Recently been writing some GL visualisations using github.com/grovesNL/glow thrown into a UI using github.com/emilk/egui. Both libs are great! (And I've not even tried the web targets yet.)

One marching square, but with extra interior vertices so that the contour changes smoothly as the field changes. (The green dot is the saddle point.)

More marching squares experiments, still a single square, with 1 or 2 extra interior points for smooth updates when scrolling the field around.

If you like very infrequent posts about niche graphics topics, I'll be posting those on gamedev mastodon from now on (link in profile).
