I was really sorry to hear about the death of Peter Robinson. I met him a number of times over the years, interviewed him at Harrogate, and even stopped by his house in Toronto way back in 2004. He was a lovel, generous guy and a great crime writer.

I had a wonderful time Theakstons Festival this year, on its 20th anniversary, even though I was only there as a civilian. I even managed to get the first look at an advance copy of my new thriller, The First 48 Hours, before it disappeared into the hands of a reviewer. Out Nov 9th.
