This stunning memoir by John Niven (t) comes out next week and I honestly can’t say how much it has affected me - an absolute page-turning, gut-punching book about two brothers. Gary Niven took his own life; John wrote this.

I've never seen so many tearful, awestruck reviews, and they're all correct: this is a MAGNIFICENT book, and one you'll read, then insist all your friends buy, too, so you can talk about it late into the night. BRAVO Niv, you glorious bastard xxx

Just chaired what was, without doubt, the most emotional onstage interview I've ever done with John Niven about this book in Bath: whole room modulating from sobbing to whooping laughing and back: this book really is something else. The kind of book you insist others read.
