Now online our work on fomites and weather changes that affect virulence. In short weather matters for dried samples of bacteria on commonly used surfaces. Infection potential in delhi versus kolkata can be quite significant. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Exciting news in fluid mixing! A new study from Yin et al. shows that when the swirling motion of a fluid (vorticity) is too closely linked to what it's mixing (like a pollutant), it actually slows down the mixing. Less connection means better mixing! @ go.aps.org/3YtK4KO

Love science and art? You’ll want to stop by “Spiraling Upwards,” APS Division of Fluid Dynamics’s traveling exhibition of the Gallery of Fluid Motion. It delves into #FluidDynamics and Da Vinci’s fascination with flight. Open through Jan. 31 at The Leonardo. Learn more:

2.75M USD i.e. INR 25 Cr for a single lab for a single project. When you cry next time why Indian researchers are not being able to get Nobel, keep this number in mind. Having ingredients doesn’t ensure that you will cook a great meal but that’s an essential prerequisite.
