15.07.2025🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Interesting developments at Crystal Palace. After winning their first piece of silverware (The English F.A cup) they have been denied their first visit into Europa League by UEFA, their excuse because they had involvement from John Textor who also has a stake in Lyon.

Sky Sports News interview on CPFC led anti UEFA dissent. “The protests will continue both inside & outside the stadium against UEFA & those that we feel have altered the culture of football in this country in a negative way over the last 30 years.”

Benj🏆🇪🇺 It’s the double standards for me. Forest fans felt hard done by, protested, boo’d the PL anthem and wanted solidarity. Yet they condone another club being unfairly treated because they can benefit from the outcome

“There are clubs where we pretend it’s not the same owner but it’s the same owner. I will not tell you which, you can guess.” UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin on multi-club ownership.

Looks like Crystal Palace’s way of dealing with potential ownership conflicts of interest is more effective than UEFA’s solution. Palace - shareholder sells up and leaves. UEFA - legal loopholes to allow clubs with same owners to play in same competitions.

Sometimes, I just like to re-watch this. John Murray couldn’t have chosen better words to sum up what it meant to every Palace fan. A legitimately life-changing moment for every one of our supporters. ❤️
