HERE THEY ARE! 12 students from Ntafufu S.S.S have been selected to come to London next year on the next leg of the exchange! We are all so excited to share London with them and continue to grow our wonderful exchange partnership 🧡. The fundraising continues, watch this space!

With just two weeks to go until our next group of students arrive from South Africa, we are all getting ready and excited! We thought we’d better start sharing some of the happy faces we are looking forward to see touching down in London so very soon 🧡

With just one week to go, the preparations continue! The itinerary has been finalised and welcome banners being made 🧡 Here are some more of the smiling faces we can’t wait to see next week !

TWO SLEEPS TO GO! Tuesday is rolling around quickly. Here are the final pics of our group of students who are getting ready to head to London. We can’t wait 🧡!

Day two got off to an early start with the morning spent at school getting to know each other bit more and preparing lessons and assemblies in the computer room.🧡

Huge thanks to the Everyman Cinema , Belsize Park for our special, private screening of Big Hero 6 today! We were blown away by the welcome signage, the holding screen celebrating our charity and the generosity of the whole experience. Very appreciated by all! 🧡

Day three and time for the sights of London! First stop the London Eye, followed by a walk past Big Ben, then a visit to Nelson Mandela’s statue and on to Downing Street and Trafalgar Square. We finished at @sohoplace for the matinee performance of The Little Big Things 🧡!

An inspirational day four was spent at @UCL east campus where Kate Irwin and Molly Cofman-Nicoresti lead the group through interactive workshops around employment and interview skills. We finished the day with a fantastic Turkish feast at the fabulous CheMen restaurant. 🧡🧡

On Saturday we were thrilled to be part of the record breaking crowd to watch Arsenal Women beat Manchester United 3-1. The atmosphere was amazing and we even started a Mexican wave!! 🧡

Team Ntafufu have excelled this week in sharing their history, culture, languages and individual talents at The Urswick School through lessons and assemblies. They also got to join in with their peers in Year 11 Urswick lessons. They were warmly welcomed. 🧡

The Ntafufu group were also thrilled to spend time with The Urswick School Governor Leroy Logan. He inspired and motivated them through sharing his life story. His message chimed closely with the ethos of BOTH in the importance of sharing similarities and learning from differences.🧡

The farewell event for the 2023-2024 exchange was a wonderful occasion. Charity directors, school staff and governors and all our host families were present along with special guests BOTH patron, Helena Bonham Carter. There was singing and dancing, celebration and speeches 🧡.
