There will be an affiliated workshop at CRYPTO 22 on the Theory and Practice of Encrypted Search where we will discuss some of the challenges that come up when designing encrypted search algorithms for a real database platform.

It’s also pretty cool that MongoDB was co-founded by Brown CS alumni and that I run into a bunch of our students there on a regular basis (including some of my CS 16 students and TAs!)

People have been telling me encrypted search wasn’t going anywhere since the early 2000s. Luckily I’ve never really cared about what people think
