Mating season injury on an adult male polar bear. This probably hurts like crazy (especially when the wind is blowing) but I've seen far worse injuries from fights over estrus females. Some males only get a few chances to mate over their lifetime & competition is intense.

Gender equality has always been a part of the Inuit way of life, shown to us through Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit principles. It is important to recognize that the skills we develop over time are genderless.
