Alone by Megan E. Freeman follows Maddie as she finds herself alone in an abandoned town with only a rottweiler named George & books as company. She has to fight loneliness & figure out how to survive. Written in verse this story pulls you right in & keeps you hooked until the end.

Today we are featuring another one of our summer reading books, Ghost Girl by Ally Malinenko! This middle grade horror story is full of twists and turns and at least one very scary scene that had us afraid to turn the page! Check out the graphic below for more about Ghost Girl.

Today's summer reading feature is Class Act by Jerry Craft This Graphic Novel is a companion book to New Kid and centers on Jordan's friend Drew in this funny and poignant story about what it's like to be one of the only kids of color in a prestigious private school. #scsdreads

It's time for today's Summer Book feature- Me (Moth) by Amber McBride! Written in verse it follows Moth who is coming to grips with losing her family in an accident as she takes a road trip with Sani, who is searching for his roots. We can't wait for everyone to check it out.

Today's Summer Reading feature is Dear Justyce by Nic Stone @getnicced. Last summer our students had the chance to grab a copy of Dear Martin & we are excited to be able to give students the chance to read the sequel which follows Quan's story as he writes letters to Justyce.

Today's Summer Reading feature is Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston This supernatural adventure is so much fun to read and we can't wait for our kids to be able to take it home this summer!
