It’s hard to lose a ground ball in the lights. Generally that’s a fly ball issue, but Muncy didn’t look like he lost this in the lights…the ball is nearly bouncing when he got to it, so I’m not buying that.

The do-or-die thing isn’t really used when there isn’t any sort of bounce. Muncy just missed the ball.

This is a terrible take. If Justin Dean attempts to play the ball originally, then the ball is in play. This is a stuck/lodged ball every time for every time and to think this is a call only the Dodgers get it silly.

This is not what happened as this ball is loose and just sitting under the padding but not wedged. In the World Series, the r ball edged and stuck into the padding. Watch Las Diaz here just lightly slap the ball to show it’s not wedged. So different.

You haven’t watched a lot of baseball then, because this happened exactly as it should. This was called as a ground rule double on the field by John Tumpane (at least him) and then CONFIRMED by the replay officials in New York. It’s so obvious it was stuck.
