No. Canada has often failed in the past to prioritize clearly, and assertively pursue, its interests. It's more than past time for Canada to be much more realist and pragmatic in pursuing its interests. Not doing so would be much more costly than its complacency in the past was.

This is what “removing the sign from the window” looks like. No pollyanna exhortations to international law. No calls for UN action. This is a clear-eyed statement of Canadian interests. It will no doubt upset many. It is nevertheless what a realistic foreign policy looks like.
