The college that rejected you is like the crush who turned you down. One day you’ll realize life turned out just fine—if not better—without them. Your destiny is not determined by those who reject you; it’s shaped by your ability to persevere, love others and accept yourself.

If we assign a grade to everything students do, then we send a very loud and clear message to our students; grades matter most and learning/growth are secondary. Grades alone don’t propel learning forward... actionable feedback and opportunity for recoverable revision do.

Kids give up on school after years of struggling. Without any evidence that they can be successful, there’s no real purpose in trying anymore. Our job as teachers is to leave EVERY kid convinced that they are capable, competent learners. #trudatchat
