The construction of 37 new houses for Nabavatu villagers in Dreketi, Vanua Levu is well in progress. Commissioner Northern Division, Mr. Uraia Rainima says that since the groundbreaking ceremony at the new site around June this year, much progress has been made.

Managing expectations is Moritikei Waqawaqa’s biggest challenge as the work progresses on relocating the villagers of Nabavatu in Dreketi, Vanua Levu. As Turaganikoro of Nabavatu, Mr Waqawaqa understands what’s it like living in tents going on for 5 years now.
