The continued oppression and silencing of women and girls by the Taliban regime in Afghanistan has been rightly condemned as gender apartheid. The world cannot stay silent. Those in Afghanistan who cannot speak need our voice. Canada and the world must stand up for them.

I enjoyed visiting Brampton this weekend and attending Shafqat Ali MP's annual community BBQ. It was a great event and I look forward to bringing some of their ideas to our Scarborough Centre BBQ next year.
