Great #restoration news! Well, we maaaaayyy have caught a few #paddlefish on Eufaula Lake that were wild spawned. 😳This 605mm (eye to fork of tail) #tablespoon and a few others that were a bit bigger, are unlikely to have been stocked 6 years ago. #PaddlefishNetting

Please share with anyone working on data-deficient imperiled species. We reviewed anecdotal occurrence records in newspapers to reconstruct pre-dam ranges of migratory fishes. NASPS onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/ef…

Ended the week at Pyramid Lake with a couple dozen fish between the team fishing in some pretty tough conditions. The two biggest tipped the scales at 16 and 11 pounds. What an absolutely ridiculous fishery, I’ll be back.

Some professional news, I'll be moving on from my role with AGFC. This week I'll start as the Tidal Black Bass Coordinator for my home state of Maryland. Excited to be back working for Maryland anglers but can't speak highly enough of Arkansas, it's people and the biologists!

Annual sample of the Savage River yesterday out in Western Maryland. A tricky fishery with a lot pocket water, but has some good fish in there.

Out sampling for invasive Blue Cats today on the Patuxent River. Testing out a pilot project comparing data collected from chase boats vs fish classified from aerial drone counts. Raising fish with low frequency electroshocking.

Not too many places in the country you’re gonna find these four together. Nanjemoy Creek off the Potomac River for our fall tidal rivers survey.

In October we stocked 3,500 Largemouth Bass in the Choptank and Tuckahoe rivers. Most fish ranged from 4-6 in. These rivers receive stockings to bolster the population.  Fish were stocked in prime habitat to promote their survival, hopefully, to be caught in the future.
