A study for Changelings, based on an old family photograph. The figure on the left is my grandmother, who I never met, she died before I was born. In the photo, Grandma and friend have dressed up in soldier's uniforms and posed accordingly. I still marvel at their cheekiness.

Finished (I think) this painting, I Put This Moment Here. I feel as though I have been quite brave with the colour, which I find exciting - it's reminding me of 1970s postcards, but orignal image is black and white from the 1950s. #figurepainting #oilpainting

Another holiday and another chance to catch my muse sitting down I managed a swift drawing from life but had to use to photos to finish, and as , got a carried away with no time limit time and lovely crayons. It's finished - but wait, that little bit there... #knowingwhentostop

When you visit old friends from the past for a catch-up and not only did we chat like we had never been apart - but then you find one of your old paintings (another old friend) in their living room made more beautiful with their reflections and collagey window cut outs.
