Year 2 Writing: Today our Year 2 pupils took part in a bonfire experience to help them imagine what it might have been like during the Great Fire of London in 1666. Using their five senses, pupils came up with descriptive key words and phrases.

Our babies had a little tour of the school yesterday (in their new 6-seater bus), visiting our Halloweenand Fireworks Night inflatables too. 🚌

Year 4: Food Technology Today we started our food technology unit: unique biscuits. Before we can bake any biscuits we thought it was only right to find out what a good biscuit tastes like! 😝🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

Year 4: Science Today in Science we undertook an investigation. We looked at the different viscosity of liquids and how this effects their freezing points.

Y5 Science: This afternoon, Year 5 conducted their first investigation of the half - term. Aim: To find out the weight of different classroom items. Equipment: Newton meter, weighing scales, water bottle, school bag and jacket.

Reception RE: Today, our Reception children learnt about the key features of a church. They explored what makes a church special and then created their own wonderful drawings to show what they had learnt.

Girls Football Tournament: This morning, the girls Football team took part in a 2 minute silence on Remembrance Day before their tournament.

Girls Football Tournament: An exciting day at The Hive so far! The Girls finished the group stage with 2 wins and 1 loss after 3 games. This means they finished 2nd in their group and will qualify for the Round of 16!

Year 6: Pupils visited the Polish War Memorial to mark Remembrance Day; they observed the two-minute silence and laid a wreath with our respective class letters to honour the Polish squadron who contributed during the war and sacrificed their lives.

Girls Football Tournament: The Girls faced St John's in the Round of 16. A competitive, end to end game saw Roxbourne narrowly beaten 1-0. Great effort Girls!
