I am excited to share a perspective in ACS Catalysis on molecular Al/M heterobimetallic catalysis. Thank you Neal Mankad and @SoumenSinha87 pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

A couple years ago during a less busy phase, I thought it would be fun to work in the lab again. One of the products from that period is now published Chemical Science! I have always wanted to achieve a single-author paper! doi.org/10.1039/D3SC05…

Second installment from my "PI is back in the lab" phase a couple years ago is out in Organometallics. Thanks to @SollogoubM for the trans-Atlantic collaboration!

Clock is ticking! 🕒 Tomorrow's FREE #ACSScienceTalks event with IISER Bhopal's Manmohan Kapur will showcase how to functionalize C-H bonds distally via the prcoess of Electrophilic C-H Metallation. Register now: brnw.ch/21wK3kV #ACSInternational #Chemistry

The LdippAl(Me) radical exhibits reactivity comparable to divalent F-block elements. A comprehensive analysis of heterobimetallic electronic structures demonstrates the mechanistic diversity that arises from systems combining p-block and d-block metals. Thank you Neal Mankad!

Our publication in J. Am. Chem. Soc. demonstrates that aluminum radicals can reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) through a single electron reduction which is typically thermodynamically less favorable. I am grateful to my PI, Neal Mankad, for his constant support and motivation.

🚨 New in J. Am. Chem. Soc. : The Glusac Group at @UIC has developed a new MOF composed of nanographene ligands (hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronene), which acts as a photocatalyst for CO2 reduction using water as the terminal electron donor. Read it here! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

We are excited to announce our J. Am. Chem. Soc. paper on frameworks with metalloprotein-like sites! ɑ-helices designed to assemble by metal-coordination and the hydrophobic effect. Point mutations yield unique frameworks with diverse metalloprotein-like sites. tinyurl.com/jk62cb27

Excited to share our group's strategies to stabilize mononuclear Al radicals! Redox-active ligands + strained geometries give Al biphilic character, letting it mimic d-/f-block metals. Thanks Neal Mankad for the guidance!
