In the latest issue of the Welsh Kitchen, I’m taking about how I can’t walk past a reduced label in the supermarket, there’s Eurovision music with a Welsh flavour, and a recipe for bacon-wrapped fish with buttered greens: welshkitchen.co.uk/p/the-lure-of-…

Five thirty Paddington to Swansea train cancelled. Six thirty Paddington to Swansea cancelled. Seven thirty Paddington to Swansea train currently delayed by 15 mins. Good to know that £95 return is giving me my money's worth GWR 🙄

It's Welsh Kitchen time. This issue, I've talking about September rituals, there's a recipe for Welsh apple cake, music from Beverley Humphreys MBE, B R O N W E N, and Côr Meibion Cymru De Affrig, and lots of lovely Welsh events in London: open.substack.com/pub/welshkitch…

Can't work out why Trafnidiaeth Cymru Trenau Transport for Wales Rail is removing multiflex tickets between Newport and Cardiff. PAYG cannot be used on GWR services, so you could be waiting 45min+ for a train. Not more convenient. If you want to catch any train you'll have to buy a full-price ticket. Not cheaper.

Look at this lovely GWR train to Cardiff Central that I can't catch because of Trafnidiaeth Cymru Trenau Transport for Wales Rail removal of multiflex and intro of PAYG. Guess I wait here with all the other Newport<>Cardiff commuters who have been penalised with the new ticket system. Trafnidiaeth Cymru / Transport for Wales

£6.30 for single between Cardiff and Newport on Trafnidiaeth Cymru Trenau Transport for Wales Rail Trafnidiaeth Cymru / Transport for Wales because I can't use PAYG if I change at Newport without exiting station. Can no longer get multiflex which would have made the journey £3.40 and could catch GWR. Once again, not more convenient, not cheaper
