It was a pleasure to join my fellow Councillors and Newham’s Sikh community to celebrate Vaisakhi. A time for expressing gratitude, seeking blessings, and rejoicing in the spirit of togetherness and prosperity.

A wonderful morning to talk with residents of Plaistow North this morning about the upcoming London Elections.

Strong positive response from locals towards London Labour candidates Sadiq Khan, Unmesh Desai AM, and James Beckles.

A family on Universal Credit must earn below £7,400 to be eligible for the Govt’s free schools meals.

Expanding free school meals in London isn’t about helping the rich, but helping everyone, including families on low & middle incomes.

And it's about removing shame & stigma.

So sorry to see the passing of former ⁦Newham London 💙⁩ councillor, Graham Lane. He did so much for the borough. Lovely words from ⁦Rokhsana Fiaz OBE⁩
