Seven years ago, I was awarded “QTS”. Fast forward 7 years, and the final A Level exam marks the final day of being a Y13 tutor. Where does the time go?! 😅

I am ready to never see E-marker again.

Anyone else marking for AQA not yet received any payment? I've marked 1376 questions out of the 1500 ... and apparently haven't yet met the 75%.

Team English came 2nd (behind PE who obviously came 1st …) in the staff relay today and it’s probably one of my proudest achievements at Brooke to date 🥈🏃🏻‍♀️

So proud of my sister-in-law for graduating this week from the Uni of Birmingham. 🎓 Her Dad suddenly and sadly passed away the week before her GCSE exams, and the resilience and determination she has shown since then is mind-blowing. Go and do incredible things, Bethany!

If you read one thing this summer, make it one of Sarah Crossan's verse novels. I'm half-way through Toffee (and an avid fan of 'One' and 'The Weight of Water') and it's heart-wrenching.

Always proud of our students, but especially so today. This cohort have a special place in my heart - the students I started with and my first all-through tutor group. Wishing them all the best as they continue with their next steps!
