A new Texas law banning abortions after six weeks has gone into effect today, after the Supreme Court failed to intervene. “85% of people seeking abortions in Texas do so after six weeks,” says Center for Reproductive Rights’s Nancy Northup. “This is the most extreme law to go into effect.”
