Thank you Adam Phillippy and Karen Miga and the whole T2T team. This is an absolute triumph, the culmination of 30 years of human genome sequencing. Great to see the future of genomics - makes me so happy.
Join the call for the EU to strategically fund a #EuropeanReferenceGenomeAtlas as part of Earth BioGenome Project. Sign here: bit.ly/3iRTk4a. Reference genomes for all life will underpin our future interactions with the living world.
the Sanger Prize is a wonderful chance for an undergraduate student from a low or middle income country to come spend 3 months Wellcome Sanger Institute doing an internship on genomics with scientists here. applications open now. Please RT! sanger.ac.uk/about/study/sa…

Come and work on data analysis for #DarwinTreeOfLife and be at the forefront of assembling reference genome sequences for all life on earth.
Come work with me and Richard Durbin on long-read vertebrate genome assemblies, cichlids, human demography and more. Lots of PacBio, @10xgenomics, @bionanogenomics and Arima Genomics data to play with

Terrible to hear of the death of John Sulston. A huge influence and inspiration to me and many others. He changed the course of scientific research twice, for C.elegans and genomics, in a way very few have done. Great strength of vision, and focus, to deliver selflessly for all. x.com/sangerinstitut…
