Let's be clear: Poilievre's win last night (and importantly: around the 80% threshold) is a statement by the Conservative base. This byelection was never about the win; it was about the margin, and Poilievre hit the threshold. That's the first leadership test passed.

At first, lot of Canadians were willing to defer to Carney/Trudeau on dealing with the Trump tariffs, just because the situation was so unusual. But now we have a lot of evidence of how a bunch of countries have dealt with the same thing, and they all seem to have done it better.

People have been sleeping on this issue but lack of electricity supply has become an impediment for many businesses trying to spend their money in Canada. In many jurisdictions. Cheap, abundant electricity should be a Canadian advantage and we let it become a liability.
