So after a cabinet shuffle in Staffordshire Wing Air Cadets, I’m handing over the reigns of training and taking on the mantle of Sector Commander South West, supporting our units across the #BlackCountry (Still covering Media Comms too).

WOW! Paying a visit to 2078 Air Cadets tonight after their induction day this weekend, and I couldn’t even fit into the room (and there’s even more starting soon). A great evening for the cadets as in their first night, they started their RAF Air Cadets journey by completing Heartstart.

Fantastic to see two Sergeants in the sector officially loose their training wheels (their white tabs) after passing out from their SSIC at RAF Cranwell today. Well done to Sgt Westwood and Sgt Hitchcox!

After an amazing 10 years as Chairperson of 2078 Air Cadets, it was fantastic to present Mrs Claire Leadbetter with a Boscobel rose and engraved vase as she stood down. Shes not going far though, and is still remaining on the a Committee. #noordinaryvolunteer

This weekend, Sgt Rachel Bethell and Sgt Evie Parsons travelled to the Lake District to take part in the Silver Practice Expedition and Qualifying expeditions. Despite some difficult weather they both completed. Well done Ladies. #ProudOC OC Staffordshire Wing RAFAC @SecCdrSW

After an impressive interview, it was great to promote Sgt Dean of 240 (Darlaston) Sqn to FS last night, as well as awarding him a BTEC in Aviation Studies. A packed night which saw two new CIs for the sector, a new padre and a new Registered CivCom member, phew!!! #NoOrdinaryHobby
