The Palm-Crowned Empress conducts her trials upon the terrace where the archdragon rests. Standing within the ring, the accused speaks; the serpent’s glow either blossoms (truth) or silts over with ash (treachery).

Coronation under Oathfire: sovereignty authenticated.
