Welcome! Thakshila Imiya Mohottige joined our group and introduced her Ph.D. project “Identify Microservices from Monolithic Applications”. The idea is to extract patterns (#ProcessModels) from monolithic system logs, which may provide valuable information for building #Microservices.

Last week, Prof. Matthias Weidlich visited our group and gave an inspiring talk about sampling in process mining. We appreciate that Matthias took the time to provide individual feedback and suggestions for the research projects of our Ph.D. students.

In our recent colloquium, Hanan | حنان presented the state-of-the-art stochastic #processdiscovery techniques, which utilize probabilistic and statistical information derived from event data to capture underlying structures of processes. #processmining #processscience

Andrei gave a talk on “Model Quality Frameworks” and discussed the quality measures for process discovery. The frameworks present many good metrics that can measure a mined process model in different aspects, but limitations are also revealed. #processmining #processscience #BPM
