"I would chase you through every timeline." she again reassured, gaze lingering upon him, attempting to capture his own. "It feels like everything has. . . stabilized for now. Perhaps we are worrying needlessly?"

His reaction to her suggestion caused her to laugh. "There is only one of me, no doubt what you are seeing is a mediocre clone, at best." she posited with a shake of her head. "This is the most stable things have felt since things started. We may be able to make this work."

"If it means you win, yes, even if she is my twin, strike her down." Jean assured. "We don't stay dead. Especially not me. Rise from the ashes, remember~?"

Jean spent the remainder of the day shopping for a new dress. She really wanted to leave BRIGHT LIKE A STAR . at a loss for words, which have proven to be quite the feat.

"It's kind of annoying when you're trying to face other foes and you're up in the sky raining fire down on everyone." she teased. "She was just doing what needed to be done." A wink.

"Yes," she affirmed with a smile. She paused a moment, taking him in; his natural habitat. "He seemed surprised to see me."
