PHP8 support in @phpspec and Prophecy is proceeding. Your PHP7 codebase should now work fine (if you fiddle composer reqs) There are issues still present if you start using PHP8 features like union types, but I anticipate tagged stable versions by PHP 8.0.0 release day

Just released PhpSpec 7.2.0 with PHP 8.1 + Symfony 6 support, a nice TeamCity formatter, and various other improvements and fixes github.com/phpspec/phpspe… This is likely the last 7.x release before bugfix mode when 8.0 comes out in the next few days
