A Phoenix rider crashed at Rainford tonight. He's okay but in need of a new skinsuit. Doing 30mph downhill, a driver came past at 80 or more, causing a speed wobble.

All of us at the Phoenix are distraught to hear the news about Darren Maironis, our thoughts are with his family and everyone at Warrington Road Club.

Former club member Toby Williams made the top 10 with a huge 304 miles!

We were fortunate to have Brian Robinson speak at our centenary dinner in 2019, about racing the Tour alongside Harry Reynolds and our own Stan Brittain. He'll be sorely missed.
