I like the Di Bruno Bros. bottle shop. I respect the person who buys their wine for stocking so much Bichi Wines, one of my favorite labels. I do not respect the extremely marked up prices they are charging for said Bichi. It’s almost 100% more than other retailers.
Drank to Mark the recent passing of the matriarch Lulu Peyraud. Tasted exactly as Iimagined it did for K&L Wine Merchants stumbling towards Domaine Tempier down the wine route. The acidity hits you like a Coltrane solo- harsh and confusing with a slow transition to angelic pleasure.
Domaine Phillipe Raimbault, one of my all time favorite wines. Available in half bottles at the 11th and Chestnut FineWine&GoodSpirits . It recalls early morning in Sury-en-Vaux: crisp, biting, awe inspiring.
I spend all week going through the FineWine&GoodSpirits website and talking to store staff to find the best bottles so you don't have to- check out my newsletter: bit.ly/3ko2ohp
Not sure of which those awesome Moore Brothers Wine e-mails wines are worth buying! Read my newsletter and find out:bit.ly/3ko2ohp hint: it's most of them.
Looking for a great daily drinker from your local FineWine&GoodSpirits ? This 12.99 Nero d'Avola is available at nearly every store and is an absolute treat: bit.ly/3ltTD6B rare to find a terror driven bottle this enjoyable for less than 15 bucks.
A wonderful find at Book Trader in Philly. A previously unknown to me wine book by Greg Moore of the Moore Brothers Wine store, my favorite wine shop.
