2/ A data lake can be thought of as a database of sorts designed to store, process & secure large amounts of data, whether it is structured, unstructured or somewhere in between.

3/ Crypto data lakes provide organizations with a scalable & secure platform that allows them to take any data from any source at any speed and size & then process or analyze it in real-time.

4/ Why are data lakes important? It’s pretty self-explanatory. Our world is powered by an insane amount of data which comes in all shapes and sizes. We need a way to not just sort through all of this noise but store it too.

5/ So what kind of use cases can data lakes apply to? ✅ textual data like social media & emails ✅ multimedia like images, video & music ✅ all sorts of quantitative data & more!

6/ Where does KYVE 💫 come into all of this? $KYVE is a data lake initiative to store any data stream, with built-in validation. By leveraging the ArweaveTeam blockchain, we can permanently & immutably store this data.

7/ Now don’t confuse data lakes with data warehouses, which are also a type of database, but only deal with structured, processed data. Data warehouses work best for specific projects with set resources, while data lakes are designed to manage massive amounts of data sets.
