Lots of families showing up, parents with kids in tow. A mom and dad walked in with their 3 boys, the youngest of whom was complaining of pain in his knee. Dad turned to him and said: “You are the youngest old man I’ve ever seen.”

By 12:15 today, 562 votes had been cast at Nepperhan Community Center in Yonkers, where eight Ward 3 districts cast ballots.

Among those voting at Nepperhan Community Crnter were Sen. Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousens, who said she tried to feed her ballot into the scanner 6 times before it worked.

The parking lot at Nepperhan is Yonkers tight. And the steady stream of lunchtime voters are trying their best to get in, find a spot, vote and get back to work.
