The production value of these weather broadcasts is really next level — using unreal engine and in-camera VFX to put extreme weather events like Milton into perspective way better 2D graphics ever could

Very exciting news to share!! My new (and first!) book, Building Optimism, is out now! The book is an exploration of why our cities and towns look the way they do, and how to make them more beautiful, walkable, healthy, genial, affordable, dynamic and generally more desirable.

Thought for the day: In at least two ways, we owe the continued existence of Western Civilization to WALT DISNEY. We should all consider this before allowing his legacy to be killed. Clip from the film "EPCOT | Recentered". Written in 2016 and released in 2022

Seriously, almost NOTHING is impossible to restore. TWDC keeps all the necessary "DNA" of every project ever created by WED/WDI to recreate them with 99% accuracy. The only thing standing in the way is the WILL to do so; even money isn't an obstacle!

Disney Glimpses MGM Studios was a bad park in 1989. I was there. We waited 3 1/2 hours for the Backstage Tour because there was very little else to do. Future World was amazing on Day 1, and is now in ruins.

Imagine for a moment. This is gone, replaced by mounds of dirt and construction barriers for 5-6 years. Hot, Dry, Noisy, a huge crane. The parade route squeezed. Big Thunder Mountain's views will be ruined for years, overlooking a construction site. It's going to be miserable.
