🩺🚒👮Petal Primary Students celebrated Community Helper Day by dressing up and learning about how these everyday heroes serve our community.

This morning, the Petal Middle School leadership team and counselors hosted a new student breakfast, welcoming them to Petal and building relationships. We're excited to see them thrive in our Panther family! 🐾🥰 #BeTheSpark

We are actively monitoring the potential severe weather forecast for tomorrow, Wed, 9-11-24. We have a briefing with Emergency Management at 4pm to make an informed decision for an early dismissal or school closure. Families will be notified of the decision by 5pm.

Based on recommendation from Emergency Management, PSD will be closed Wed, 9-11. All after-school activities/practices/games are also canceled. We will continue to monitor conditions and be back in touch tomorrow regarding Thursday’s schedule and info on the school make-up day.

Based on recommendation from Emergency Mgmt, the Petal School District will have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow. PreK-6, 9:30am and grades 7-12, 10:30am. If anything changes overnight, we will notify you prior to buses starting routes.

All schools will be closed Mon-Fri, Sept. 23-27 for fall break. The district office will be open Wed-Fri, Sept. 25-27. Teachers & students not attending Petal+ (Sept. 30-Oct 4) will remain on fall break. We will welcome all staff and students back to school on Monday, Oct. 7.
