Congratulations to Quinn. This Year 8 swimmer was named U13 Boy of the Year by his local team, Bangor Barracudas.

This Year 9 archer has proved she is a crack shot. Her record-breaking score of 636 at the Ralph Best Memorial event at Stormont means she is now top of the Northern Irish Barebow U14 Ladies’ rankings. Nice work Aliyah. ▶️ bit.ly/3IegBie

2025 Budget Energy SuperCupNI - Cameron won’t forget what he did this summer! Representing Co. Down’s Boys Premier in this prestigious youth tournament, Yr. 12 footballer, Cameron collected a Man of the Match award and made it to the semi-final v. Man U.

Ulster Rugby shirts for Ruby and Ruairi. Congratulations to Bangor Academy rugby players who donned Ulster shirts over the summer. 🏉Ruairi captained the Ulster Club Regional Dev. Squad to a win against North Leinster. 🏉Ruby played scrum half for the U16s against Connacht.

⚽️Matthew and Isla: gifted goalies for NI U16s & Linfield Ladies’ Seniors! Isla (Yr. 14) has made 10 appearances as the Linfield Seniors’ goalie this summer. Matthew (Yr. 12) kept an impenetrable last line of defence for N.I. U16s team which won the Gary Speed Tournament, Wales.

🏊🏻‍♀️ All-Ireland medals: success to celebrate! Brooke left July’s AlI Ireland National Age Group Championships at the University of Limerick with two golds, three silver and two bronze medals (12yr old category). Bravo Brooke!

Medal winning Megan to represent NI in Poland. Following her bronze medal win for NI at the GB Open Karate Championships in Birmingham, Megan (Yr. 11) will join the NI squad to compete in Szczecin, Poland in October. We wish her every success in her first European Championship.

🏉 Ruby moves up to Ulster U17s. Earlier in the term we shared the news that Ruby had been playing for Ulster U16s. It is fantastic to hear she has now been selected for the Ulster U17s!

Inter-schools show jumping success. Leah rode two horses for Bangor Academy at the Inter-schools event at the Meadows Equestrian Centre. She jumped super clear rounds to come in 3rd and 9th out of a large class of 55. Well done Leah!

As part of #GoodRelationsWeek, the Bangor Cuchulainn’s team, made up of pupils from Bangor Academy and St.Columbanus College, were hosted by the Mayor of ArdsandNorthDown, Councillor Gillian McCollum, in recognition of their outstanding engagement in the Ulster GAA Cúchulainn Initiative.

Triathlon News Despite a broken toe, Sophie has clocked up four 1st places and two 2nds since April! Two silvers came from the prestigious National Youth Series & Triathlon Ireland’s National Youth Cup (age 13 - 14). Each event means a 300m swim, 10k cycling and 2k run. Kudos!

Year 12 footballer, Cameron looks like he loved his latest trial at Charlton Athletic over the Hallowe’en break.

Huge Congratulations to Caoimhe and Kolt! Both gymnasts proudly represented Ireland at the TeamGym Mezzo Cup Finals, competing against 13 other teams — and they secured 1st place in their category!
