With the issue finally coming to a head around #VRChat losing CyanTrigger, I'd like to talk about my point of view about the Creator Journey. Here's a portion of a presentation board I made in 2022 (prior to my VRChat contracting work) 🧵

My categorization of creators: CyanTrigger addressed the Project and some Hobby creators. Without that tool, there is now a much narrower funnel opening. Without creator support (Discovery, tool maker support, adequate monetization, etc) the drip at the bottom is too large.

So those that feel that CyanTrigger's "issue" is the cost of fixing one issue--no. It's the cost of ongoing support, maintenance, and lack of enthusiastic peers that share the goal. It's lonely and unmotivating.

Since everybody is dogpiling. This is my complaint. In terms of official vrchat resources for learning there is a massive gap. The tutorials are between 4-7 years old with a minutia of the information needed for creation. Yes there is community supported ones. But VRC SHOULD BE
