Who’s ready for the 2nd Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market? Last week three vehicles were towed after the operators failed to heed the bright orange placards. How many will tomorrow bring? Park Cedar Rapids will be ticketing and towing vehicles at 4 am on all market Saturdays.

As we do for EVERY downtown Farmers Market, our staff spent Friday afternoon installing dozens of these placards throughout the market parameters in hopes of not having to tow any vehicles before dawn Saturday. Please do not leave vehicles within the market parameters overnight.

The Freedom Festival parade returns downtown tomorrow at 10 a.m. with the route going down 2nd Ave from 6th St to 1st St, and then up 3rd Ave back to 5th St. Please mind the no parking enforcement times, as we will be ticketing and towing vehicles beginning at 7 a.m.

After a three-week break, the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers Market returns tomorrow. Please do not leave your vehicle within placarded areas downtown overnight. Ticketing and towing begins at 4 a.m.

On this Farmers Market eve, please DON'T park overnight within the market parameters. Vehicles will be ticketed and towed at 4 a.m. Saturday. Event parking will be sold for $5 at the 4th Ave, GTC and Convention Center ramps. The 3rd Ave Parkade will be closed.

Market After Dark returns downtown on Saturday. Please do not leave vehicles within the expanded market parameters overnight. Park Cedar Rapids will be ticketing and towing vehicles at 11 a.m. so the area is cleared by the time roads are closed for setup at noon.

The last Downtown Farmers Market of the year is here. That means we have one last shot at a tow-free market Saturday. By now, you should know the drill: Do NOT park overnight within the market parameters. Park Cedar Rapids will be ticketing and towing vehicles at 4 a.m.

The weekend starts early with BLOCKtoberfest - Downtown Cedar Rapids at 5 p.m. Friday. 2nd Ave SE between 2nd St and the railroad tracks and 3rd St SE between 1st and 3rd Ave will be closed at 7 a.m. for setup. A no parking/tow away zone will be enforced beginning at 6 a.m.

The Park Cedar Rapids office will be closed for Christmas at noon Friday 12/22 through 8 a.m. Wed. 12/27 and is closed for New Year's on Mon. 1/1. The office reopens for normal hours at 8 a.m. Tues. 1/2. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year!

ParkCR is suspending office hours and metered parking enforcement on Tuesday, Jan. 9 due to the active Snow Emergency. Parkers may park for free in the 3rd Ave, 4th Ave and GTC ramps to assist with clean-up efforts. Regular hours and enforcement resume at 8 am Wednesday.

With the Snow Emergency extended until Sunday, Park CR encourages downtown parkers to park for free on Friday in the 3rd Ave, 4th Ave and GTC ramps. On-street parking will be enforced as usual and VEHICLES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN MOVED IN 48 HOURS WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED.
