Well do e to my local council. Apart from these areas many of our rural verges are looking fantastic with all but a strip being left to Mother Nature & the bees.

Back to #litter picking after a short break. Took advantage of a partial road closure & finally made it to Kettering. 2 people, 3 hours, 6 bags. Verges are beautiful but nowhere to move out the way of traffic. Will sure be a mess when the mowers get out again.

So lucky to have all this on my doorstep, & even better now we manage to keep most of the #litter at bay. Tiny saplings planted last year are growing well. Looking forward to watching them mature. Just 1 bag filled. Keep Britain Tidy

Finally a day not too hot or too wet to do a #litterpick. 2 people, 6500 steps, netted 2 bags. So much better than it was when we started 2 years ago.

So proud of my young grandson for joining me on a #litterpick round local streets today. We had a great discussion on the harm these items can bring to animals & humans, and the penalties that should be handed out to litterers. He was much harsher than me, so watch out litterers.

Our maintenance #litterpick today netted another 2 bags of litter. Lovely wandering along our rural roads when there’s a partial road closure. Time to enjoy the views & flowers, and take photos of blocked drains to report to the council. All in the life of a litter picker.

Just an hour out of my morning clearing #litter I spotted yesterday on a stretch of local rural road. Made me happy to hear a cyclist shout our “look there’s a Womble” & shout thanks as he cycled past. I’m easy pleased nowadays. 2 more bags collected & 4000steps of exercise.

netted 3 bags of #litter with hubby this morning, then this afternoon took my litter picker with me on a stroll round the parks with my son & 3 grandsons. Super proud of these mini Wombles, particularly the 4 year old who ran back & forth hunting out litter. Keep Britain Tidy

With half the road closed we’ve managed to #litterpick the whole length of Glendon Road this week. Never cease to be amazed at what I find. 2 people, hour & a half’s walk netted 3 bags of litter, 3 bags of household waste, a barbecue, 4 tyres, 2 planks of wood & a wheel trim.
